Our Story
How It All Began
Like many great adventures, The Crafted Escape was born from love — our love for God, for each other, and for the beauty of His creation.
We’re parents and believers, and after 18 years of marriage, we’ve learned that real connection doesn’t just happen — it’s something you have to protect and nurture. For years, we were told the order should be God, kids, work, marriage. But we’ve come to understand what truly keeps a home strong: God, marriage, then family.
From the very beginning, God designed the structure — He said it wasn’t good for man to be alone, that the two would become one, and together be fruitful. When we keep that order, everything else falls into place.
Life gets busy. The noise of work and parenting can easily take over. But when we pause, step away, and realign with God’s order, we come back spiritually stronger — not just as individuals, but as one. Our kids will one day grow up, build their own lives, and fall in love — but they’ll always remember the escapes Mom and Dad took that kept our marriage alive and full of faith.
That’s the truth behind The Crafted Escape: taking intentional time away from work and the daily routine to reconnect with God, with your spouse, and with the love that started it all.
